Another time travel. This tune probably dates back to 2002/2003? not sure, but i clearly remember the night i made it.

My dear friend Suhamos came by, i started playing around with some samples and he brought the book “The Prophet” from Kahlil Gibran. The lyrics come from this book and we kept jamming and impovising the whole night and around 6:30am in the morning, it was done. We even performed this song live one time, oh well….

Production is raw, singin just done with a cheap mic in my room, i lost the files, so this is all i got. The song always has an interesting feel for me and i wouldn’t dare to change anything.

I am in a fantastic mood today. Sun is mild and promising, fixed my bike and got good news from the university. I feel light today and the need to post something special.

There is so much to say about this song, so many stories I could tell, so many memories from early mornings, tender moves and lovely steps. For me this song will forever be tied to one early morning, people dancing, sun comin up after an incredible 7hour back2back set, outside open air, with my friend Finn Johannsen. Out of nowhere he dropped this song and, oh my, from then on, there was a break between before i heard nicolette the first time and after.

This song is very powerful, the message, the songwriting, the disco mixdown from Jim Burgess, nicolette singin’… I had to get this record, i played it over and over again and again… it never looses its special place in my heart and I hope it also finds a special place in yours.

Ennio Morricone – Maddalena

Ahh, it’s done. In countless days and hours at the library, there was one soundtrack that kept me going. Maddalena aloud my imagination to wander around, go to places, see faces, and always kept me impressed by the perfection of Morricones composition.

Well, here it is, the whole soundtrack. I got it off this blog, but uploaded it myself again to make sure it stays available. This is truly one of my favorite Morricone soundtracks. I chose another picture, because it fits better to my thesis adventure.

So, yup, i am back and hope to post much more and more and more…
