Judy Nackix – Give It To Me (101)

Judy Nackix – Give It To Me

I am in a very good mood lately, a few big records arrived at my house the last weeks, i started making new tunes again and completely feel like sharing my favourite record with you. A nigerian boogie tune that you will hear me play everywhere and anytime in the near future. Still can’t believe that I got the record – wohoo!

Well, catch me playing this jam in Belgrade this saturday at the wash. Been looking forward to this party since I met Senka and Marijana at the Electric Elephant this summer. Hope to see you all!

New Remix coming up…up…up…

Hey yo, i made a remix. I did get some offers to remix tunes here and there along the way, but never got my head around finally doing so. This summer i thought, well, let’s just give it a try and see how it goes….and here it is.

It’s comin’ out on david’s label 3rd Strike – early december. It’s kind of a functional vibe on the remix for me, somehow i feel like, it’s the most playable (dj-able) tune i made so far. Kind of conventional in terms of aesthetics, i felt guilty in the first place, because it has some twists and turns in the sounds, that i felt were too familiar and what we call “ausgelutscht”.

But it’s cool now, that’s what i started to like about it later…in a twisted way. Here is a snippet, make up your own mind:

Cutloose in Manchester!

Heard so much about this party in Manchester (Mark Seven told me, that I’m gonna looooove it…) and this friday I get lucky and play an all-night set – from beginning to the very, very last record.

Looking forward to see all manchester-heads – let’s do it to the max!

Shina Williams & His African Percussionists – Agboju Logun (100)

Shina Williams & His African Percussionists – Agboju Logun

Still walking on clouds, since last friday was such a jam at Hunchin All Night. The Bleepgeeks played wonderful music all over and the dancers kept it goin – for almost ten hours!

This classic Afro-Disco tune was played twice and somehow frames the night and is an overall good example of the vibe thats been in the air. A big shout to Hyun for all that matters during the night!

This is number 100 in the world of hunchin’. Let’s see how we continue…I got a feeling!

Hunchin All Night – this friday!

Hunchin All Night * November 12th * Soju Bar
Bleepgeeks ( We Love Ulm )
Hunee ( Rush Hour / Hunch Music )

another night – we keep it hunchin!

Usually planned as a regular, wild ride out of one record bag – for this friday a few more bags, records, hands and smiles will hit the Soju. My guests, the Bleepgeeks are – of course – very special and mean a lot to me on many levels. Where can I start, maybe at the beginning…

The first time i met this circle of friends, activists, lovers, musicians, artists, dancers and deeeejays was in cold-ass january 2008. I played at their monthly night in Ulm – the club was an old strip-joint and already filled with people when we entered….

Ahh, naah, no story telling this time. Lemme narrow things down:

Julian, Martin, Mike and Serdar.

They know how to dance, dig and play all those things that make ur arms go up, ur booty go left to right and ur feet not standing still. in a bleep.

Their own club nights are legendary…you may ask DMX Krew, Gerd Janson, Marco Passarani, Finn Johannsen, Rahaan, Tensnake, Beautiful Swimmers, Romy Zips, me or lots of others…

Everytime i meet them, they hit me with the deepest, freshest cuts from New Jersey 1991, Milano 1984, Chicago 1986, Berlin 1982, Everywhere 1979 and Somewhere 2010.

Hit it. November 12th 2010. bleep.

Hunch Music Radio 01 with Nomad – a gift from the past!

Well, due to technical difficulties (late start, no chat, …) – we decided to put up the show here until the next one goes on air (november 16).

The first part starts with a little intro and then Nomad starts his wild ride.

Hunch Music Radio 01 w/ Nomad – part one

In the second part i join back in and we both tag-team our way through some sick records, more white wine and a dancing crowd.
